These pictures display only a fraction of the devastation that has consumed our city, but our spirit lives on.

Looking east at the Centre Street Bridge towards downtown. The Mayor has stated that the downtown core is to remain closed until further notice.

Taken by another media source – The Saddledome and stampede grounds. The Calgary Stampede is only 2 weeks away, the Mayor has stated that the show will go on.

SO CRAZY!!! CRAZY!!! I can’t believe it!! Yay for Calgary that in all of this terrible devastation, people are trying to help so much that the City of Calgary has said that (for now – or at least last time I checked) there are enough volunteers and donations (money, of course, always needed accepted at the Red Cross still) AND no looting! ❤
Your comment made me smile! Calgarians are fantastic! No matter what the situation, we all come together in the time of need. Thanks for stopping by…
Wow so sorry to see one of my favorite cities this way. Calgarians are resilient and I’m sure they will rebound quickly and in time for a great Stampede!
Without a doubt! Thanks for stopping by…
So sorry to see this happen anywhere. Thanks for sharing the photos.
Your welcome. Areas around Calgary have flooded before, but nothing like this, but we’ll get through it! Thanks for stopping by…
My thoughts are with you and your fellow Calgarians…I have been there a few times, and could figure out some buildings/places I know, and this is incredible.
Thank you. Yes, the hardest hit was the Stampede Grounds and the surrounding communities. But, we’re Calgarians, this is just a bump in the road.
Thanks for stopping by…
know you will all bounce back bigger and better than ever
Yes we will…!
